2015 Year in Review

Photo Graffitti had a fantastic 2015.

Lessons I've learned this year.

Looking back over the year I admit was fantastic and very busy. I met my goals for # of Weddings and having a photo published in a magazine. (not by my entering any contest or submitting photos... they found me :)That being said, I do this because it is something I love. I love it because it gives me the ability to get "lost" in photos and be creative. I love editing photos. I love having the time to go over an entire wedding slowly and methodically to produce results that I am proud of. Honestly, I put on classical music in the background and an entire day will go by without me realizing it.

I am a person who does not like work to pile up and I will ensure I am on top of doing my work.

I felt a little too often that all I did was shoot and edit. I have decided to change things up a little for next year. Regular summer days were lost. (my fault, I can't relax when I have work to do.)

Looking forward. I won't take as many Weddings this year. I am going to focus on ensuring I enjoy every minute of my Weddings beginning to end. Nice for the Weddings I have already booked. But also making sure I have time to enjoy summer. I appreciate life and I am very thankful for everything that I have worked for as well as the things I have been so graciously given.

Don't let work rule your life. Life is too short to miss out. Don't miss that beautiful summer day when it is waiting to be enjoyed. :)

On a personal note, I realize I am a person who likes to have all my "ducks" in a row. Bob has been "nagging" me to go away... as usual... ;)  My excuses are always because of the things I "have" to do.  So I am going to take my own advice and try to loosen up a bit this year and try not to say "no" right away because of the work I feel I have to do. Guess that is my "New Years Resolution"...  that and maybe trying to Blog a little more.

Hope anyone reading this has a wonderful Christmas Holiday and I honestly hope that you have a safe and splendid 2016.

and one for Dad... "outstanding in my field" :)
